Nasty virus

For a large part of my time, my computer was very ill.  I've kept the kids off the internet for one reason only.... everytime one of us made a connection, the antivirus went off and attempted to remove it only to have it return the next time we made a connection.  So, I called my savvy tech brother to diagnose it and hopefully prescribe some really strong antibiotics for it.  We tried everything.  He finally suggested to strip the computer back to its factory bought of the shelf state.  Did that.  The computer was still sick.  So, he took over my computer and found that the virus I had was really really down right nasty... something he hadn't seen before... a retrovirus.  This virus was hiding 6 other viruses within it.  Pretty crafty!  He found a pretty strong antivirus program online (free of charge), downloaded it, and scanned.  To our delight and much relief, it removed the retrovirus so my Microsoft Security could remove the others it was masking.  Hurrah for techies in the family!!  Thank bro!  You are my hero!!!
